Empowering Veterans and their Spouses to Shape the Future of Education

Active-duty military, National Guard members, Reservists, veterans and their spouses may be eligible for significant financial incentives through the Empower VetEd: Supporting Military Educator Prep Program at Heidelberg University.

The Empower VetEd program offers scholarships for tuition, books, fees, and or meal plans up to $10,000 per year for those eligible who want to start their journey to becoming an educator.

Am I eligible?

Yes, if you are active-duty military, a National Guard member, a Reservist, a veteran or spouse. 

Yes, if you are entering or continuing in a PreK-12 college education program.

Education Pathways

Work toward teaching licensure in Ohio in these areas:

  • Primary Education (PreK-5)
  • Middle Childhood (Grades 4-9)
  • Adolescent to Young Adult (Grades 7-12)
  • Multi-Age Music (PreK-12)

Intervention Specialist licensure available for Primary Education, Middle Childhood and AYA.
