About

Anne Anderson joined Heidelberg University as the Dean of the School of Business and Adams Family Endowed Chair in January 2023. Prior to coming to Heidelberg, she was the Weatherford Chair of Finance at Middle Tennessee State University from August 2018 to December 2022. From 2003 to 2018, she was on the faculty of Lehigh University. In 2009, she was named the Joseph R. Perella & Amy M. Perella Chair in Finance. She earned her PhD in Finance in 2003 from the University of Arizona, an MBA from the University of Tulsa in 1998, and a BS from the United States Military Academy in 1987. Upon graduation from USMA, Dr. Anderson served in the US Army Corps of Engineers and completed several major projects to include adding 9 holes to a golf course in Savannah, Georgia and building an orphanage in Honduras.

Research Interests

Markets and institutions, corporate governance, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, regulation and valuation.
