Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration, University of Toledo Doctor of Education in Leadership Studies, Bowling Green State University About
I was born and raised in Tiffin, Ohio and had excellent teachers throughout my time in Tiffin City Schools -- many of whom were Heidelberg graduates, including my fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Paul Hoernemann. It was during that year that I first visited the Heidelberg campus at the invitation of Mrs. Hoernemann's student teacher, Mrs. Chambers. After my own 33 -year career in public education as a teacher, principal, and district administrator, my experience in school governance and climate, special education, and grading practice reform led me to pursue my doctoral degree in leadership studies at Bowling Green State University in 2015. I returned to the Heidelberg campus in 2018 as an assistant professor of special education and served the School of Education as its director from 2019-2025.
