AYA English Education Major
What made you choose Heidelberg, and when did it start to feel like home?
I originally had never heard of Heidelberg, and I found out about its existence at a college fair. I had a nice conversation with the Admissions team and toured. After I left my second tour, I felt like I could call Heidelberg home.

When the solar eclipse occurred, a majority of the student body sat on the football field to watch.

I vowed never to be a part of Greek life in college. However, after joining four groups in four years, I can gladly say that I loved it.
What relationship or friendship here has meant the most to you and why?
My friendship with my sophomore and junior year roommates. I met them both during orientation, and we have been friends ever since. I couldn’t imagine my college experience without them.

My student-teaching.

The last night of my first Greek pledging.
What experience at Heidelberg best prepared you for your next step?
Various placements in the education department.
What advice would you give to incoming freshmen about how to be successful at Heidelberg?
Try new things and put yourself out there.

Getting a teaching job around the Cleveland area.
Finally, what’s one thing you hope never changes about Heidelberg?
The welcoming environment.
