UPDATE: Due to unforeseen circumstances, the representative from the USPS will not be available on campus today to do passports.  You can submit your application in person at the USPS at 175 S. Monroe Street on M-F from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM or Saturdays from 9-11:00 AM.

The Study Abroad & Passport Fair will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, in Saurwein Health & Wellness Center.

Due to the impending winter storm, all of the weekend events with the School of Music & Theatre on Heidelberg’s campus have been postponed. The same schedule will be followed on the rescheduled dates. If for any reason you are unable to attend please let us know and we would be happy to arrange a full refund.

Writer's Series: Hilary Plum

Two award-winning authors will be on campus to help Heidelberg University’s School of Communication, Humanities & the Arts launch the Jean Warren Gekler Writer’s Series. As part of the series, the public is invited to an open reading from the authors’ recent works.

On Monday, Oct. 15, Heidelberg will welcome Hilary Plum, whose novel Strawberry Fields was the winner of the Fence Modern Prize in Prose (2018). She also received the 2018 GLCA New Writers Award for her nonfiction work Watchfires.

Court On Campus

The Honorable Steve Shuff, '75, Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge, will hold actual court hearings on campus.

Times are 9-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Please feel free to attend these hearings and celebrate our Constitution in action. Attend all or part of the session; you are free to come and go from Judge Shuff's court as well.

PALS Dinner and Keynote: Kelli Masters

In creating the Patricia Adams Lecture Series, John and Pat Adams sought to provide extraordinary opportunities for all Heidelberg students, graduate and undergraduate, as well as faculty and staff, and the broader Tiffin community. The first lecture in the series was held in September 2010 and coincided with the grand opening of Adams Hall at Heidelberg University, home to the new School of Business. The lecture series is named to honor Pat Adams’ long-standing loyalty to and passion for Heidelberg University,

Opening Convocation

The opening of the school year. All students, faculty and staff come together to celebrate the beginning of the 2018-19 academic year. See the faculty dressed in academic regalia, hear from Provost Beth Schwartz, President Robert Huntington and an inspiring keynote speaker. All new students will receive their 'H pin' and the ceremony will close with the singing of the Alma Mater, Sweet Alma Home.


 

Senior Honors Presentations

A total of 19 Honors students will present their final capstone projects Tuesday-Thursday, April 24-26, in Herbster Chapel. Through the Honors 455 course, students have worked with a faculty mentor to deepen their understanding of a topic of compelling interest in their major. Their presentations, which also included a written component, are the culmination of their research and study.
