Rachel is a native of Northwest Ohio, but her love of traveling and learning about other cultures has led her to a career in international higher education. Rachel has over 12 years of experience in higher education and has worked in all facets of international education, including recruitment, foreign credential evaluation, visa regulation counseling, and developing services and programming to meet student needs and promote cultural exchange and awareness. Rachel is presently working on her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration through The University of Toledo, with her research focused on the relationship between international students and their greater community hosts.
“I love the fact that Heidelberg provides a curriculum that’s flexible enough for students to often combine various subjects of interest. Plus, with our small campus and family-like atmosphere, students feel as though they can get involved in – or at least try – a lot of different things.”
Rachel has visited 18 countries to date on 5 of the 7 continents. Her goals is to travel to all 7, and has only Australia and Antarctica to go!
