Feb 9, 2017

During his two years serving as a graduate assistant at Saurwein Health & Wellness Center, Austin Bentz has seen a ton of growth in student participation in intramurals.

“It provides a great opportunity for athletes and non-athletes to get out and take part in recreational activities, meet new people and build friendships and leadership skills,” said Austin, who oversees intramural programming at the Berg.

Heidelberg is joining the national “It’s On Us” Campaign. During the week of Jan. 30, the university will kick off a semester-long series of events in an effort to stop sexual violence and harassment on college campuses.

Launched by former President Barack Obama, “It's On Us” asks everyone -- men and women across America -- to make a personal commitment to step off the sidelines and be part of the solution to ending campus sexual assault. Heidelberg joins hundreds of universities and organizations trying to make college campuses safer.
