AUSTINTOWN -- It was a busy Monday for the Heidelberg University baseball program. Hours after learning 11 players had been tabbed as All-Ohio Athletic Conference performers, the OAC co-champions learned that their season will continue. The Student Princes earned one of 18 at-large bids into the 58-team NCAA Tournament. Heidelberg will head to the Adrian, Michigan, regional -- along with Denison University, La Roche College and host Adrian College.

“Growing up and in elementary school, I probably wasn’t the best kid,” Jordan explained. “Getting that label as a ‘troubled child’ really ended up motivating me to take more responsibility and take care of myself better.” Sports became Jordan’s way of getting himself on the right path. He excelled in baseball as an outfielder entering his senior year.

Madeline Hines is a trailblazer. When she graduates this Sunday, she’ll be one of the first two students to receive her bachelor’s degree in exercise science.
Although she entered Heidelberg as a biology major, she switched to health and human performance shortly after. What never changed were her plans to pursue a career in the health care industry.

Zachery Hunter has been around baseball since he was barely 2 feet tall. A chance to play collegiate baseball brought him to Heidelberg. Finding a place that would help him become the best citizen possible kept him here.
“From the first moment I visited, it felt like home,” said Zach. This fall, he’ll have a new place to call home: The Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University.
