Heidelberg University is committed to a holistic approach to application review. We value you as a person, as well as your academic credentials and track record. With that in mind, we provide a test optional admission option for students who do not feel that their ACT/SAT score is reflective of their academic ability.
Students who apply test optional are still eligible for academic scholarship consideration. However, students who wish to be considered for our Scholars Day Competition or the Heidelberg Honors Program must submit standardized test scores. Additionally, some academic majors may request a standardized test score for accreditation purposes after an admission decision is made.
How to apply test optional
Heidelberg's Application - On our online application there is a simple yes/no option asking you if you want to apply without test scores.
The Common App - You'll apply as usual, and then in your Heidelberg application portal you have the option to tell your admission counselor you will be applying without test scores.
