Audition Information & Forms

An audition is a required part of the admission process for all students planning to major in music and/or theatre. Those planning to minor in music or theatre are not required, but are strongly encouraged to audition for non-major participation awards.

Setting up an Audition

In addition to applying to Heidelberg, students interested in music must complete all audition forms and perform for faculty. A live audition is strongly preferred, but in cases where coming to campus will cause undue difficulty, a video taped audition is possible. All recordings should be made under the guidance of a professional teacher. Students who are unable to audition on one of the scheduled dates may arrange individual auditions by contacting Patricia Page, Administrative Assistant, in the School of Music & Theatre.

Note: Auditions should be completed by April 23, 2021 for best consideration on music and theatre merit scholarships. In-person auditions are limited to two guests per person and each guest is required to wear a mask.
