What made you choose Heidelberg and when did it start to feel like home?
I chose Heidelberg because I wanted to be part of the small, close-knit community. It started to feel like home when I became an RA.
What moment at Heidelberg made you feel most proud to be a Student Prince?
I have never been as proud to be a Student Prince as I was when the Heidelberg University Overwatch Esports team won our first match.
What’s a class, club, or activity you joined on a whim and ended up loving?
I joined the Marching band on a whim part of the way through the semester my freshman year, and ended up loving it so much that I did it every year.
What’s your best “only at Heidelberg” story?
Only at Heidelberg would the Dean host a dinner for the entire RA staff in his backyard every year.
What relationship or friendship here has meant the most to you and why?
The relationship that I was able to build with my advisor, Professor Joyce. He always pushed me to be better and is a big reason that I love my field of study as much as I do.
What opportunity outside the classroom shaped you the most?
Being the President of Alpha Phi Tau Men's Fraternity shaped me the most outside of class.
What is a lesson from college that you will carry with you forever?
Hard work conquers all.
What memory still makes you smile, no matter what?
Sharing a block of cheese with my friends on Choir Tour
What experience at Heidelberg best prepared you for your next step?
Being the SRA of Talmage Hall for 2 years prepared me to have high amounts of responsibility.
What advice would you give to incoming freshmen about how to be successful at Heidelberg?
Everyone here at Heidelberg, both students and staff are happy to help, you just have to ask!
What are your plans following graduation?
I plan to pursue a career in IT with the eventual goal of becoming a System Administrator.
Finally, what’s one thing you hope never changes about Heidelberg?
I hope that Heidelberg never stops being the friendliest campus I have ever experienced.
