Heidelberg University’s final home football game of the year falls on Veterans Day -- Saturday, Nov. 11. The university will honor our veterans and active-duty military personnel with special ceremonies and performances before the game and at halftime.
All servicemen and women are invited to the game, free of charge. Kickoff will be at 1:30 p.m. with pre-game festivities scheduled to begin approximately 1:15 p.m. The Student Princes will wrap up their regular season against the Capital University Crusaders.
The Heidelberg Marching Band, under the direction of Jonathan Waters, is planning special military-themed tributes during pre-game and halftime, including recognition of all branches of the military. In addition to the Marching Band, the University-Community Chorus will perform. The United Veterans Council also will be assisting with pre-game and halftime festivities.
The Fox Den Alumni Center, inside Hoernemann Stadium, will be open throughout the game for all servicemen and women. Heidelberg will provide hot beverages and light snacks.
As always, Heidelberg invites the community to cheer on the Student Princes. Tickets are $5 for general admission and $8 for reserved seating, and can be purchased at the Hoernemann Stadium ticket booths on Greenfield Street.
