The campus was bathed in orange “tags” on Thursday – more than 400 of them – as a visible reminder to everyone about the many opportunities that the generosity of ’Berg donors have provided not only to the campus but especially to students.
The Student Alumni Association organized and carried out the 10th annual TAG Day, short for Thank A Giver. Throughout the day, more than 200 students gathered in the University Commons to write postcards to donors, personally expressing their gratitude for all of the opportunities that their gifts have provided. This year, students signed 2,283 postcards, thanking donors for making their ’Berg experience possible and unforgettable. Social media was alive with posts and images of the fun elements of the day.
In honor of the 10th anniversary of TAG Day on Heidelberg’s campus, alumni who participated as students shared their memories of the fun and the important message of spreading the joy of philanthropy. Here are some examples:
