Alongside New Student Orientation and Alumni Weekend, Heidelberg University’s campus is hosting over 15 camps this summer. These summer camps and activities will build up budding performers, inform future health care professionals, and will keep athletes -- young and old -- on their toes!

June 2 & 3: Boys and Girls Basketball Youth Camp for K-1st Grade
This half-day camp begins at 9 a.m. and goes until noon. 'Berg Basketball Youth Camp is designed to give campers the individual attention needed to learn the fundamentals of the game. The camp’s philosophy is to create a competitive environment through instruction, skill development, and team play.

June 5-10: School of Music & Theatre Summer Camp for 8th-12th grade
This five-day camp begins on Sunday, June 5. Students can stay at Heidelberg, or commute to the program daily. Students will get a taste of a taste of living, working, and playing as a Heidelberg’s School of Music & Theatre student through specialized rehearsals and elective courses in choral, band and musical theatre.
The registration deadline for the Music & Theatre Camp has already passed. However, this is an annual camp, so it will be back next year if you or your student are interested in registering! June 6-8: Baseball and Softball Youth Camp for K-8th grade
Monday through Wednesday, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., students will be able to work with ’Berg coaches and current baseball and softball players. Through competition and drills, students will improve their understanding of the fundamentals of baseball or softball.
Cost for registration is $80 per camper, discounted to $65 for multiple campers in the same immediate family. All participants will receive a t-shirt as well! June 6-9: Women’s Basketball Future Hoopers Camp for 3rd-8th Grade
This day camp begins Monday at 9 a.m. for girls from 3rd grade to 8th grade. The camp provides an opportunity for players to develop and improve their skills through drills and games. The camp will be divided by ability level to ensure a competitive environment. The camp will be run by the Heidelberg women’s basketball coaching staff, as well as some members of the team.

June 10: Men’s Basketball Team Shootout
On June 10, Heidelberg Men’s Basketball is hosting a one-day tournament for high school varsity or junior varsity teams. High school teams throughout Ohio will compete with each other, with the winning team earning Heidelberg T-Shirts.

June 11: Women’s Team Golf Scramble
The Women’s Golf Team will be hosting a golf scramble at the Fostoria Country Club. Teams or individual players can enter and compete with fellow golf-lovers in the
Seneca area for Prizes and gifts. A catered lunch will be provided!
Registration for a team of four costs $300; Individual entry costs $75; and skins game entry costs $40. You can purchase three mulligans for yourself or your team, for $10 a person. June 12:Volleyball Prospect Camp
On June 12th, Heidelberg will host a camp for high schoolers interested in playing volleyball at the collegiate level. Students will be taught how collegiate volleyball players maximize their performance, hone their skills and team-build. Coach Jason Miller will be leading three sessions throughout the day, including a series of games played with fellow campers.

June 13-15: Men’s Soccer Youth Training Camp for ages 5-12
Heidelberg’s Men’s Soccer Team is hosting a youth camp for ages 5-12, for three hours a day. Campers will receive tactical lessons and learn the fundamentals of soccer, while getting to practice and play in a fun and competitive environment.

June 14: Women’s Basketball Elite Prospect Clinic for 9th-12th Grade
This day-camp begins at 10 a.m. for advanced high school players interested in playing women’s basketball at the collegiate level. Campers will develop their skills and knowledge of the game through drills and competitions, with guidance from current players and coaching staff. The event features a Q&A with current members of Heidelberg’s women’s basketball team. Students can enjoy a campus tour with current players to get an inside look at the life of a student athlete.

June 16: Men’s Soccer ID Camp
Men’s Soccer will be hosting a prospect ID camp to introduce high schoolers to the rigor and expectations of competing at a collegiate level. Athletes will receive individualized training from members of the Soccer coaching staff as well as current players. The event includes a Q&A with current Heidelberg athletes about college life and athletics.

Men’s Soccer will be hosting a three-day overnight camp to help high schoolers hone their skills and learn more about the tactics of soccer. Athletes will receive training from members of the Soccer coaching staff, while learning sportsmanship and teamwork in a competitive and exciting learning environment.

June 24: Wrestling Prospect Camp for 9th-12th Grade
Heidelberg’s Wrestling Team is hosting a prospect camp for high school students interested in wrestling at a collegiate level. The camp will be run by Head Coach Tony Patrizi, Assistant Coach Devin Miller and Assistant Coach Dylan Roth. The camp will focus on honing the skills of campers, and will emphasize the importance of goal setting and mindset training.

June 25: Golf Outing in Loudon Meadows
Heidelberg’s cross country and track team is hosting a Golf Outing at Loudon Meadows Golf Course. The day will start at 10 a.m. Participants can purchase mulligans, a foot of string advantage, and a skirt advantage. 18 holes of golf will be played with food provided at the turn, as well as after the round.

June 25: Women’s Soccer ID Camp for Grades 9th-12th
Women’s soccer is hosting an Elite ID camp on June 25 for highschoolers looking to enhance their technical skills and tactical awareness in soccer. Separate goalkeeper training is also available. The day will look at life as a ’Berg student-athlete and what to expect of the admission process. Coaches will help teach students about the demands of collegiate level sports, and provide better insight into the life of Heidelberg’s soccer players.

July 10-16: Showchoir Camps of America
Heidelberg annually hosts Showchoir Camps of America’s week-long camp. Through the Showchoir Camps of America, students ages 12-18 from all over the country work together to create several ensemble performances.
The final performance will be Saturday, July 16, at 1:30 p.m. It will take place in Seiberling Gymnasium. For more information on Showchoir Camps of America, check out their Showchoir Camps of America website.
July 11-14: Football Youth Camp for ages 6-13
Heidelberg Football Staff is hosting a morning camp to help teach the youth of Tiffin the fundamentals of football. The camp takes place from 9 a.m.-noon, July 11-14. Students will be coached by Heidelberg’s football staff, including head coach Scott Donaldson, and current Heidelberg football players. The team works to create a safe and exciting environment for novices and experienced players to learn and grow.

July 19-22: Men’s Basketball Boys/Girls Youth Camp for 2nd-9th Grade
This half-day camp begins at 9 a.m. and goes until 3Pj p.m. Berg Basketball Camp is designed to help young athletes grow and develop their skills through competition and examples. Heidelberg’s current basketball players will help provide individual attention, and demonstrate sportsmanship to help foster an engaging learning environment.
Registration costs $125 per camper.

July 20-23: Heidelberg Health Professions Camp
This three-day overnight camp is designed to help high school students explore health care fields, including athletic training, physician, nursing, dietician, and more. Students will receive classroom instruction and hands-on activities. The camp is open to students who will graduate between 2022 and 2025.
Registration costs $250, which includes housing, meals, and all activities. A CPR and first aid class will be available for an additional $50 after the camp’s official end. July 22: Back the Berg Golf Outing
The Ron Linhart Memorial Back the Berg Golf Outing will take place on July 22 at Mohawk Golf & Country Club in Tiffin. The Back the Berg Golf Outing is the biggest fundraiser for the “H” Association. Participants can register individually or as a foursome. A steak dinner is available for purchase.

July 24-29: Genoa Band Camp
The marching band from Genoa High School will be coming to Heidelberg University for their band camp. They will be making music and enjoying the sunshine on our campus for the week!
July 25-27: Men’s Basketball Berg Elite Camp for 10th-12th Grade
The Berg Elite Camp is an overnight camp aimed at rising sophomores, juniors and seniors who want to play basketball at a collegiate level. Campers will receive individualized instruction and access to clinics for skill development and instruction for their positions; through participation in this program, students are exposed to the rigors of collegiate athletics.
